Plan Holders,

Please read the following clarifications:

Q1) What testing is the contractor required to perform?

A) For HMA, the Town will be including the Standard Process. Please reference Section 39 in the special provisions and the testing requirements are included in Appendix A.

B) For FDR, the Town will be providing the mix design and the associated testing. The contractor must provide compaction testing.

Q2) Can the concrete streets be closed during demo, off haul and paving?

A. Yes. The subgrade will need to be proof rolled and tapers are required to get the residents in and out of their driveways is the subgrade is left down overnight.

Q3) If the sub grade is low will AB be required?

A. The subgrade is not expected to be low. The Town will review the conditions during excavation to address any unexpected issue. If the subgrade is low, the contractor will be given direction. Please alert the engineer as soon as an issue becomes apparent.

Q4) how long will the garbage truck need to stay off?

A. From the application of cement until 6 days later or until two days after paving is complete (whichever is sooner).
